6TH WORLD WICKER AND WEAVING FESTIVAL

Nowy Tomyśl, 3–6 September 2026

07:00 – 15:00 – Registration and check-in at the Festival Registration Office (Location: Museum Grounds – Pavilion, 10 Topolowa Street)
- At the Festival Registration Office:
  - Allocation of accommodation and assistance in reaching the hotels.
  - Collection of Festival packages (identification badge, competition T-shirt, information materials).
  - Distribution of the ordered weaving materials.
  - Allocation of fair stand locations and distribution of Parking Cards for participants of the International Fair.
  - Formalities and payments concerning accompanying persons.
- Attention: Please have proof of payment of the entry fee with you.
- Food and beverages on the first day:
  - Throughout the day, a complimentary buffet will be available in the Catering Area: coffee, tea and bottled water.
  - After check-in and throughout the day, a hot meal (self-service hot soup) will be available for participants and accompanying persons.
16:30 – Official Opening of the 7TH INTERNATIONAL WICKER WEAVING COMPETITION for the Festival Grand Prix Award (Speeches by the Mayor of Nowy Tomyśl, the Head of Nowy Tomyśl County, the Festival Commissioner and Invited Guests).
18:30 – 22:30 – First Evening with Culture – joint social gathering, musical programme, presentations and refreshments hosted by the Festival Commissioner in the Catering Area.

07:00 – Opening of the Multi-purpose Pavilion and preparation of competition workstations.
08:00 – Start of Day I of the 7TH INTERNATIONAL WICKER WEAVING COMPETITION (upon the Jury’s signal).
10.00 coffee break and group photo session – welcome
14:00 – Lunch break.
15:00 – End of Day I of the competition (duration: 7 hours).
17:00 – Ceremonial Parade and Official Opening of the Festival:
- Gathering of participants and accompanying persons at the Largest Basket in the World (Independence Square).
- Parade through the streets of the town to the Main Stage in Feliks Szołdrski Park.
- Official Inauguration of the Festival and Opening of the Hop and Wicker Fair.
- After the Inauguration – refreshments hosted by the Mayor of Nowy Tomyśl and the Festival Commissioner, followed by time for international networking.

07:00 – Opening of the Multi-purpose Pavilion and preparation of workstations.
08:00 – Start of Day II of the International Wicker Weaving Competition (duration: 5 hours).
13:00 – 14:00 – Submission of works for Jury evaluation and preparation of the Competition Exhibition for visitors.
14:00 – Lunch and free time.
18:00 – Second Evening with Culture – joint gathering, musical programme and refreshments hosted by the Festival Commissioner in the Catering Area.

08:30 – International Demonstrations and Workshops (Multi-purpose Pavilion Area):
- Demonstrations and workshops open to the public.
- Creation of works by Competition participants for a charity auction supporting the Occupational Therapy Workshops (WTZ) in Grońsko.
14:00 – Lunch and official opening of the Competition Exhibition.
16:00 – Final Gala (Multi-purpose Pavilion):
- Announcement of the results and presentation of awards in eight competition categories.
- Official Closing of the Festival.
- Farewell refreshments hosted by the Mayor of Nowy Tomyśl and the Festival Commissioner.
