What's next for the festival?

The fifth edition of the Festival, held in 2023 in Poznań, attracted weavers from around the world and was a true celebration of tradition and modernity, achieving spectacular success. We aim to repeat it!

Here are the four opportunities that lie ahead

Organization in Nowy Tomyśl

The next edition of the World Wicker and Weaving Festival will take place in Nowy Tomyśl. If an agreement is reached with the city authorities, the festival will be held in 2026.

Organization in Another Polish City

The next edition of the World Wicker and Weaving Festival will be organized in another city in Poland. In this case, the festival will take place in 2027.

Organization in Another Country

The next edition of the World Wicker and Weaving Festival will be held in another country. Due to the larger-scale preparations required, the festival will be held in 2028.

Discontinuation of the Festival

We are also considering discontinuing further editions of the Festival. In this scenario, the 5th World Wicker and Weaving Festival in Poznań 2023 would be the final event of its kind.

We strive to organize the next festival.

If the next edition takes place, the Festival program will, as always, be full of unforgettable attractions, exhibitions, and workshops under the guidance of experienced instructors. Numerous competitions, presentations, and demonstrations will await the participants, bringing them closer to the culture and history of the art of weaving.

We aim to foster an atmosphere of creativity!

Master weavers from all corners of the globe, who will share their knowledge and passion. Modern techniques, innovative materials, and traditional methods will all come together in one place, creating a unique atmosphere that fosters creativity and a sense of community. It will also be an unique opportunity to make international contacts, share experiences, and explore the rich tradition of weaving.


We will invite everyone

We will invite everyone – from professional weavers to artists to people who are just starting out with weaving or simply supporters of it. The festival will also be a great place for families with children, and the little ones will be able to enjoy a special play and creativity zone and take part in interactive activities.
